The Senate Agency - With testimonies suspended during the parliamentary recess, the Cachoeira CPI will take advantage of the period, which runs from July 18 to 31, to intensify the analysis of the documents received. The president of the CPI, Senator Vital do Rego (PMDB-PB), released an official statement this Thursday (12), explaining the functioning of the Commission's Secretariat.

"The inability to hold meetings will not interrupt the normal administrative functioning of the committee, nor the activities of analyzing the documentation that the congressmen wish to carry out," the statement says, also informing that normal operations will continue in the secure room "where the committee members and their accredited advisors can continue researching the documents received."

Vital do Rego also reports that the recess will be used to train advisors on how to access confidential data resulting from the breaches of bank and telephone secrecy.
