World Cup: Brasília is the 3rd city with the most volunteers.

More than 3 people, both Brazilians and foreigners, have registered to work at the Confederations Cup matches, scheduled to begin on June 15th; of these, FIFA will select approximately 2 to work at the seven games, including the opening match (Brazil vs. Japan); throughout the country, more than 40 have registered for the Brazil Volunteer program.

Brasilia 247 - At least 40 people have registered to work in the organization of the Confederations Cup, scheduled to begin on June 15th. The data comes from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA). The volunteers registered with the Brazil Volunteer program, which selected people to work in the six host cities of the football world cup.

Brasilia, the venue for the opening match between Brazil and Japan, is the third city that received the most applications, with 3.707 in total. Nationwide, there were 40.065 requests to participate, from people aged between 18 and 85. Among these volunteers are Brazilians and also foreigners from 30 different countries. All with the same desire to actively work in welcoming tourists.

Of those who registered, FIFA selected approximately 7 to work effectively at the sporting event, with 4,9 to work at the opening game in Brasília and the closing game in Rio de Janeiro. Those selected will take distance learning courses between March 1st and 31st. In-person courses will also be held between April 20th and May 11th.

2014 World Cup

Those who missed the registration deadline can try again for a job at the 2014 World Cup. The registration period will reopen after the Confederations Cup matches. There will be 50 positions in total, distributed across the 12 host cities.
