Vecci-Baldy conflict creates more tension in the government.
In a letter addressed to the governor, the young Secretary of Industry and Commerce threatens to resign, complaining about the concentration of power and positive actions in the hands of his colleague in Management and Planning; the dissatisfaction began with the implementation of the PAI, a program that brings together most of the government's projects under the purview of Segplan; the last straw, however, was the sharing of resources from the investment fund of the Produzir Program, a flagship project of SIC; according to a source from Goiás247, Perillo agreed with Baldy's arguments, especially the part where he talks about leaving the department.
Goiás 247_ The Secretary of Industry and Commerce, Alexandre Baldy, formally complained to Governor Marconi Perillo in a letter regarding the centralizing stance of his colleague from Management and Planning, Giuseppe Vecci. Perillo confided to close associates that he agreed with some of Baldy's complaints, especially the part of the document where he threatens to resign. Baldy's criticism and threat add even more tension to the already turbulent internal environment of the state government.
Baldy's main complaint is the lack of support and the Segplan's covetousness for programs originally linked to SIC. The two secretaries have been at odds since the creation of the PAI (Integrated Development Action Plan), a project created by Segplan that cannibalizes, concentrates, and manages most of the resources available in various areas of the State for works and services.
O Goiás247 He did not have access to the contents of the letter. But, according to a source very close to the governor, the last straw for Baldy was the fact that Vecci would be managing part of the investment fund of the Produzir Program (which encourages the creation and expansion of companies), the main showcase of the Secretariat of Industry and Commerce (SIC).
The creation of the PAI and the concentration of power in Vecci's hands also aroused jealousy among other aides in the Perillo government. The most eloquent example of the friction within the team was the reaction of the group of federal deputy Armando Vergílio (PSD), who left the leadership of the Metropolitan Region Development Secretariat after Segplan interfered in the management of the Light Rail Vehicle (VLT) project, which involves approximately R$ 1,2 billion.
However, the discomfort with Vecci is not the only source of problems between Baldy and his government colleagues. Behind the scenes, the young secretary reveals another source of dissatisfaction. SIC wanted to oversee the construction of the Anápolis Convention Center, but the project is being managed by Agetop, headed by Jayme Rincón (who, in turn, also doesn't like Vecci).
Anápolis is Baldy's base, and the Convention Center project, already underway, will generate around R$ 110 million. Along with the Cargo Airport, it is one of the main projects of Perillo's government for the city.
