The Industrial Entrepreneur Confidence Index (ICEI) increased for the fourth consecutive time in Pernambuco, according to research conducted by the Economics, Studies and Research Unit (UEP) of the Federation of Industries of the State of Pernambuco (FIEPE); according to the study, the increase was 0,2 points, stabilizing the indicator at 59 points; the index is nine points above the average level between business confidence and distrust.

According to the study, the increase was 0,2 points, stabilizing the indicator at 59 points throughout November. The index is nine points above the average level between business confidence and distrust, which is 50 points.
According to industry experts, the higher confidence rate among business owners is due to the payment of the 13th-month salary, which boosts commercial activity and consequently improves the economic outlook at the end of the year. According to the study, two other aspects researched by the ICEI also remain strong.
The indices for Pernambuco, which represent the current conditions of the state, reached 53 points, above the average between confidence and distrust for the second time in a row. Expectations for the next six months are also above the national average. While the national index closed at 58,2 points, Pernambuco shows 61,9 points, demonstrating optimism among business leaders regarding the local economy.
