Police recruits demand to be called up.
Members of the reserve list for the 2006 Military Police exam met at Praça dos Martírios, in downtown Maceió, this Thursday (24), to demand the call-up of all those who passed the exam.
Alagoas247 - The peaceful protest aims to demand a meeting between the state government and those who passed the 2006 civil service exam. Currently, around 400 members of the reserve list are seeking entry into the Military Police (PM). “Governor Teotonio Vilela (PSDB) is a dictator and does not treat the category with respect. The state government claims it cannot hire because of the Fiscal Responsibility Law (LRF),” stated Reginaldo Ramos, a member of the reserve list commission.
According to Ramos, the competition took place in July 2006, and in 2010, the Public Prosecutor's Office (MP/AL) filed a civil lawsuit in the Court of Justice (TJ). However, only in August of this year did Judge Elisabeth Carvalho order the immediate appointment of the 992 members of the reserve list. The government appealed with a motion for clarification, which was judged and denied in September of this year.
According to Ramos, last week there was a meeting with Colonel Dário Cesar, who stated that 314 positions are available. "But we don't agree; we want the appointment of all those who passed the exam. That's another reason why we're here," he explains.
If the government does not present a proposal to those who passed the civil service exam, there will be a protest in the city every week.
