Goiás247 - Professor, businessman, and former two-term city councilman of Aparecida de Goiânia, Alcides Ribeiro Filho, known as Professor Alcides, president of the PSC in the municipality, has been confirmed as the candidate for vice-governor on the ticket of businessman Vanderlan Cardoso (PSB). The ticket also includes federal prosecutor and cattle rancher Aguimar Jesuíno (PSB-Rede) in the race for the Senate.

Professor Alcides, the most voted councilman in the municipality's political history, has already run unsuccessfully for mayor and for state and federal representative. He has become known in the business field, with companies established in the municipality, but the highlight is the Alfredo Nasser College (Unifan).

According to Vanderlan, the PSC's nomination for vice-presidential candidate is fair. “The PSC has been working with us since 2010, they have been a loyal partner, so the vice-presidential candidate was nominated by them. Professor Alcides is a man with a history of work, leadership, and respect, especially in the field of education. We are happy with the composition, and we are certain that he will contribute greatly to the project we will present to the people of Goiás.”

Regarding the ticket composition, Vanderlan said he is proud to have three parties on the ticket (PSB, PSC, and PRP). “This shows that we haven't yielded to the proposals that have come to us and we will run a campaign focused on proposals for the people of Goiás. We've worked on this pre-campaign with proposals, seriousness, and transparency. We're going to enter through the front door, doing the right thing,” said Vanderlan.
