"It's good to associate the image with a winner," says Vanderlan about Marconi.
During a visit to allied deputies in the Legislative Assembly, candidate Vanderlan Cardoso, from the "A New Goiânia" Coalition, officially endorsed Governor Marconi Perillo and said he saw no problem with the PMDB's strategy of linking its image to that of the governor, exploiting potential setbacks for the state government; "The governor has won every election he has contested. So, associating one's image with a winner is good, there's no problem." Vanderlan, however, does not hide his differing views from the governor, maintaining a position against the management of health and education by social organizations.
Goiás 247 - During a visit to allied deputies in the Legislative Assembly, candidate Vanderlan Cardoso (PSB) officially endorsed Governor Marconi Perillo and said he saw no problem with the PMDB's strategy of linking his image to that of the governor.
"Governor Marconi Perillo has won every election he has contested. So, associating the image with a winner is good, there's no problem. We're going to show what the government of Goiás and Governor Marconi Perillo have done for Goiânia," stated Vanderlan.
The president of the PMDB metropolitan directorate, deputy Bruno Peixoto, admitted in an interview with the website Pauta Goiás that the party's strategy is to associate Vanderlan's image with that of Governor Marconi in order to exploit possible damage to the state government.
Vanderlan, however, does not hide that he has specific disagreements with the PSDB member. The PSB member maintains, for example, his opposition to transferring the management of health and education to social organizations, which is Marconi's main administrative reference.
