Carnival: More than 9 tourists are expected to arrive through the Port of Salvador.
The Salvador Port Passenger Maritime Terminal is expected to receive more than 9 tourists arriving on cruise ships during this year's Carnival, according to estimates from the city government. The municipal government will set up information booths at the port, where tourists will be informed about Carnival itinerary options, as well as cultural and gastronomic attractions. In addition to the visitors arriving by sea, the city expects to receive approximately 450 more tourists from other cities in Bahia and almost 50 from other states in Brazil.

The Salvador Port Passenger Maritime Terminal is expected to receive more than 9 tourists during the Carnival period, arriving on cruise ships. This estimate comes from the Salvador City Hall, which will set up information booths at the port where tourists will be informed about Carnival itinerary options, as well as cultural and gastronomic attractions.
According to the agency, on February 24th, two cruise ships will disembark from Rio de Janeiro, carrying approximately five thousand people. Before that, another ship originating from Fortaleza will disembark in Bahia, returning to the capital of Ceará on the same day.
On the last day of Carnival, Tuesday (28), Salvador receives two more boats coming from Rio de Janeiro. The more than four thousand passengers will spend the night in Salvador, and continue to Búzios, in Rio de Janeiro, the following day.
The cruise season in Salvador began in October 2016 and ends in April of this year. The city government estimates that around 155 passengers will disembark during this period. In total, there will be 20 ships arriving from various parts of the country and abroad.
In addition to the visitors arriving by sea, the city government expects to receive approximately 450 more tourists from other cities in Bahia and nearly 50 from other states in Brazil.
With the arrival of Carnival, Luís Eduardo Magalhães International Airport is expected to receive, in addition to conventional flights, 250 extra landings, totaling 1,6 domestic and international flights during the period.
