PE247 – With the aim of further establishing his presence on the national political scene, the governor of Pernambuco and presidential candidate, Eduardo Campos (PSB), will spend four days outside the state to meet with politicians and businessmen, as well as give lectures in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Sul. The governor will arrive in the Southeast this Friday (5) and will only return to the state next Tuesday (9). The first commitment will be at the 57th Congress of the Paulista Association of Municipalities, which will be attended by the senator and also pre-candidate for the Presidency in 2014, Aécio Neves (PSDB-MG).
On that occasion, the governor of Pernambuco is expected to once again raise the banner of the new Federal Pact, the first proposal presented by the PSB member since he began his presidential campaign. It's worth remembering that, on the 14th, Campos was in São Paulo, the country's largest electoral college, to meet with businessman Flávio Rocha, of Riachuelo. On that occasion, the head of the state executive said that "much more can be done for the country." The following day, Campos met with representatives of the Institute for Retail Development (IDV).
The governor's second stop will be in Rio de Janeiro, on Saturday (6), where he will give a lecture on public policies at the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC-RJ). Last 14, the manager was in the “Marvelous City” for a meeting with members of the National Confederation of Commerce (CNC).
The following day, Campos will travel to Rio Grande do Sul. There, the governor will participate in the birthday party of federal deputy and main political strategist for the PSB in the Chamber, Beto Albuquerque (RS). On the 9th, the PSB member will be decorated by the Legislative Assembly of that State with a Farroupilha Medal, previously awarded to President Dilma Rousseff and former President Lula, both from the PT.
On the same day, Campos will participate in the 26th Business Freedom Forum and will give lectures to politicians and businesspeople, both national and international. The governor's actions have had repercussions not only in the national business and political sectors, which have sought closer ties with the governor to learn about his proposals, but also among local politicians.
Along these lines, many of the vehicles parked in the parking lot of the Legislative Assembly of Pernambuco (Alepe) displayed stickers with the following phrase: "Eduardo for president – This is urgent." Alepe has 41 parliamentarians allied with the governor and eight from the opposition.
