Eduardo Campos (PSB-PE) may leave the government of Pernambuco on April 1st to launch his candidacy for President. On the same date, in 1964, his grandfather, Miguel Arraes, was arrested after the military coup. Troops surrounded the Palácio das Princesas, in Recife, and proposed that he resign from his position as governor of Pernambuco. Arraes refused.

If the suggestion, made by close associates of the governor, takes hold, it will convey the idea that he is leaving the same place where his grandfather was imprisoned to fulfill an "interrupted destiny." The only problem: April 1st is also April Fool's Day.
