Campos considers internal opposition 'natural'
The governor of Pernambuco reacted "calmly" to the resistance within the PSB party against his plan to run for president in 2014; governors Cid Gomes (CE), Renato Casagrande (ES), and Camilo Capiberibe (AP) stated that they consider it better for the party to support Dilma Rousseff's reelection.
247 – Targeted by recent criticism from PSB governors for his plans to run for president in 2014, the governor of Pernambuco, Eduardo Campos (PSB), said yesterday that he views the internal resistance "with tranquility."
Governors Cid Gomes (CE), Renato Casagrande (ES), and Camilo Capiberibe (AP) have stated that they consider it best for the party to support Dilma Rousseff's reelection.
"We are witnessing a natural, democratic debate," said Campos.
Campos also commented on the statement by former president FHC, who said he had heard from him that he would be a candidate.
"What I say in private conversations doesn't change when I say it in public."
After the PT practically plagiarized the presidential candidate's slogan by saying that "It is possible to do more and better" - Campos' was "It is possible to do more" -, the PSB candidate made a new party insertion on Tuesday night (21), in Goiás, with the slogan "Do more and do it well"; in the advertisement, he criticizes the lack of a regional development policy and defends tax incentives as mechanisms to generate employment and income.
