Ceara 247 - After three years of irregular rainfall in Ceará, which, according to the Ceará Foundation for Meteorology and Water Resources (Funceme), could reach its fourth consecutive year in 2015, Governor Camilo Santana (PT) will explain the State Action Plan for Coexistence with Drought this Wednesday, the 25th, at the Legislative Assembly. The strategy will involve several state secretariats. Secretaries Dedé Teixeira, from the Secretariat of Agrarian Development, Hugo Figueiredo, from the Secretariat of Planning and Management, Francisco Teixeira, from the Secretariat of Water Resources, among others, are expected to participate in the event.

The plan to be presented by the government also includes a campaign for the rational use of water. Even with the recent rains, most reservoirs in Ceará currently hold about 20% of their capacity. This is below average. However, some reservoirs have received more water.
