Governor Camilo Santana (PT) is expected to announce, between today and tomorrow, the appointment of a new secretary for the Secretariat of Agrarian Development (SDA). Fernando Santana, who was a candidate for mayor of Barbalha in 2016 and previously served as deputy in the Civil House during Camilo's government, is expected to assume the position, replacing the current secretary, state deputy Dedé Teixeira. Dedé Teixeira's return to the Assembly is considered important to strengthen the PT's representation in that house, which will now have five deputies. Dedé Teixeira is expected to assume the leadership of the party's caucus in the Assembly.

Fernando Santana is also affiliated with the Workers' Party, as is Dedé Teixeira, which keeps the secretary position within the Governor's party quota.
Dedé Teixeira's move to the Assembly is considered important to strengthen the PT's bench in the Legislative Assembly. Dedé Teixeira is expected to take over the leadership of the party's bench in that house. With Dedé Teixeira's return, the PT will have five state deputies. The idea is that Dedé Teixeira will take over next Monday (13).
