Pernambuco 247 - The last street campaign event of the PSB candidate for Governor of the State, Paulo Câmara, held this Thursday (2), in Recife, was marked by an emotional tone. On the occasion, Câmara, who leads the polls, said that he had not prepared to govern the State without Eduardo Campos by his side. The former governor and political godfather of the socialist died in a plane crash on August 13, in Santos (SP). The former first lady and widow of Campos, Renata Campos, and their children also participated in the political event.
"I hadn't prepared myself to govern Pernambuco without Eduardo by my side. And now I'm going to prepare myself to govern Pernambuco without Eduardo by my side, but I'm going to do what he always wanted me to do. Replace him and ensure that the people's commitments are honored," said Câmara.
The only participation of the Campos family in the speeches was made by Pedro, who was alongside his mother, Renata, and his brother, João. "It's a joy and a responsibility to speak here because I know that the one who wanted to be here was my father. This year was difficult because I lost my father and this front [coalition of the Popular Front of Pernambuco] lost a leader. But he left the house in order," said the young man.
