Camaçari: Mayor celebrates progress on the Metropolitan Highway construction.
The Metropolitan Highway, whose construction spans 11,2 kilometers, is already 50% complete and will connect the CIA-Airport (BA-526) and Estrada do Coco (BA-099) highways, linking Camaçari and Lauro de Freitas; started in January 2015, the project is scheduled to be delivered in March 2017; Mayor Ademar Delgado celebrates the progress in the works and recalls that, at the time of the announcement, he highlighted "the contribution of the Metropolitan Highway to the advancement of Camaçari and the region by bringing more development and contributing to tourism on the beaches of the Municipality".

According to the state government, which is responsible for the new road, approximately three kilometers of the project have already been paved, with all drainage work completed. The road infrastructure for nine of the 12 bridges is also in the finishing stages.
The bypass will also feature an advanced road operation and monitoring system, medical assistance, and mechanical support.
The news of the road's arrival was received with joy by Mayor Ademar Delgado, who, at the time, highlighted "the contribution of the Metropolitan Highway to the advancement of Camaçari and the region by bringing more development and contributing to tourism on the municipality's beaches."
