Caixa pays new Bolsa Família to beneficiaries with final NIS 5
In addition to the minimum benefit of R$ 600, there are additional payments.
Brazil Agency - Caixa Econômica Federal pays this Thursday (22) the February installment of the new Bolsa Família to beneficiaries with Social Security Number (NIS) ending in 5.
The minimum value corresponds to R$ 600, but with the new additional benefit the average value rises to R$ 686,10. According to the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, this month the Federal Government's income transfer program will reach 21,06 million families, with an expenditure of R$ 14,45 billion.
In addition to the minimum benefit, three additional payments are made. The Variable Family Nursing Benefit pays six installments of R$50 to mothers of babies up to six months old, to ensure the child's nutrition. The Bolsa Família also pays an additional R$50 to families with pregnant women and children aged 7 to 18, and another R$150 to families with children up to 6 years old.
In the traditional Bolsa Família model, payment takes place in the last ten business days of each month. The beneficiary will be able to consult information about payment dates, the amount of the benefit and the composition of the installments in the Caixa Tem application, used to monitor the bank's digital savings accounts.
Starting this year, Bolsa Família beneficiaries will no longer receive the Seguro Defeso discount. The change was established by Law 14.601 / 2023, which rescued the Bolsa Família Program (PBF). The Defeso Insurance is paid to people who survive exclusively from artisanal fishing and who cannot carry out the activity during the piracema period (fish reproduction).
REGISTRATION
Since July of last year, the integration of Bolsa Família data with the National Social Information Registry (CNIS) has been in effect. Based on the cross-referencing of information, approximately 300 families were removed from the program this month for having income above the rules established by Bolsa Família. The CNIS has more than 80 billion administrative records relating to income, formal employment relationships and social security and welfare benefits paid by the INSS.
In compensation, another 240 families were included in the program this month. The inclusion was possible because of the active search policy, based on the restructuring of the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS) and which focuses on the most vulnerable people who are entitled to the income supplement, but do not receive the benefit.
protection rule
Approximately 2,29 million families were covered by the protection rule in February. In effect since June of last year, this rule allows families whose members find employment and improve their income to receive 50% of the benefit they would be entitled to for up to two years, provided that each member receives the equivalent of up to half the minimum wage. For these families, the average benefit was R$ 372,45.
Gas Allowance
The Gas Assistance program will also be paid this Thursday to families registered in the Unified Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico), with a final NIS number of 5. The amount has dropped to R$ 102, due to recent reductions in the price of the gas cylinder.
The program is expected to last until the end of 2026 and benefits around 5,5 million families. With the approval of the Transitional Constitutional Amendment at the end of 2022, the benefit was maintained at 100% of the average price of a 13 kg gas cylinder.
You can only receive the Gas Allowance if you are included in the CadÚnico and have at least one family member who receives the Continued Provision Benefit (BPC). The law that created the program defined that the woman responsible for the family will have preference, as well as women victims of domestic violence.
