The Brazilian Federal Savings Bank (Caixa Econômica Federal) and the Government of Alagoas will build 608 housing units in Maceió; the properties will serve families earning up to R$ 2, who can acquire them through the "Minha Casa, Minha Vida" (My House, My Life) program; the deadline for completion of the works is 24 months.
Alagoas247 - The Government of Alagoas and Caixa Econômica Federal signed, this Friday (20), the contract for the construction of 608 housing units. The apartments, located in Benedito Bentes, are intended for families who receive up to R$ 2 thousand, who will be able to buy them through Minha Casa, Minha Vida.
The state's participation consisted of donating the land, an extension of the Craibeiras Park, intended for state civil servants. According to the Secretary of Infrastructure, Aparecida Machado, since the civil servants have already been accommodated, approximately 300 of the just over 600 apartments are still for sale.
Governor Renan Filho stated that the donation reduced costs by 20% for families interested in the properties – with installments dropping from R$ 973 to R$ 600. "In the medium term, when the apartment appreciates in value, the savings for families should increase from 20% to 50%," he added.
He emphasized the importance of investments in the construction sector. “For Alagoas, these projects are fundamental. All of Brazil is going through difficulties, and with this, we are injecting money into our economy. R$ 56 million will be invested, which will boost the economy,” he said.
The superintendent of Caixa Econômica Federal, Kleber Jurema, highlighted the partnership between the entities. “This demonstrates that when there is partnership, we can achieve more. The union between public authorities, Caixa Econômica Federal, and private companies brings benefits to the population. This provides access to a valuable property that fits within the families' income.”
The deadline for completion of the works is 24 months. The complexes, Bosques das Casuarinas and Bosque das Ubaias, will have a leisure area with a party room, a garden and a playground, and apartments with a living room, two bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom, all rooms with ceramic tile flooring.
The projects will be built by Telesil Engenharia S/A (Bosque das Casuarinas) and Engenharia de Materiais S/A – Engemat (Bosque das Ubaias).
