Number of violent crimes falls in Minas Gerais
The Capital Policing Command (CPC) released a report on Tuesday (22) showing a 53,7% drop in motorcycle thefts; in Minas Gerais, data from January to March from the Public Security Secretariat (Sesp) showed a 20% reduction in the number of violent crimes.

According to statistics, there was also a 47,3% decrease in attempted robberies at commercial establishments; a 31,2% decrease in group robberies; a 28,5% decrease in robberies against vehicles in general; a 25,5% decrease in incidents involving cell phones; and a 23,3% decrease in incidents against taxis. All figures are compared to the same period last year.
