Lance!net - As LANCENET! had already anticipated last week. The Minas Gerais court confirmed the request for parole for goalkeeper Bruno, convicted in the case of false imprisonment and bodily harm against model Eliza Samúdio. However, the player still needs a ruling from the Supreme Federal Court to have his parole confirmed.

Bruno already had this right since January 6th. But because the original case took a long time to reach the city of Contagem, in Minas Gerais, Judge Wagner Cavalieri only granted his release last week, which was confirmed this Tuesday. The player's lawyer, Dr. Rui Pimenta, confirmed the fact and complained about the length of time the goalkeeper has been imprisoned.

"Now it only depends on the Supreme Court. What's absurd is the fact that he was imprisoned for two years under preventive detention, which, by law, should last a maximum of 180 days. That's embarrassing. But we are certain that the Supreme Court will grant him parole," he told LNET!.

The lawyer also guaranteed that the trial at the Supreme Court should take place within a maximum of 30 days.
