Two Brazilian finals in the Beach Volleyball World Tour; this Sunday the pairs Talita/Maria Elisa and Juliana/Larissa will face each other in China; in the men's competition Ricardo/Pedro Cunha and Márcio/Pedro Solber will decide the champion in Poland.
Brazil 247 – After the Brazilian setback in the Brasília (DF) stage of the Beach Volleyball World Tour last week, when Talita/Maria Eliza won silver and Ricardo/Pedro Cunha won bronze, Brazil can now celebrate its first gold medals of the 2012 season.
This Sunday, Juliana/Larissa and Talita/Maria Elisa will compete for the gold medal in Sanya, China, at midnight. Talita/Maria Elisa defeated Juliana/Larissa in the quarterfinals of this tournament and remain undefeated in the Chinese competition. Sunday's match marks the 36th encounter between the pairs. The record is better for Juliana and Larissa, who have 26 wins against nine for Talita and Maria Elisa.
In Poland, the Brazilians are also certain to reach the top of the podium. Ricardo/Pedro Cunha face Márcio/Pedro Solberg for the stage title at 10 am this Sunday. The Polish stage final will mark the fourth meeting between the Brazilian pairs in the 2012 season. Ricardo and Pedro Cunha won two of the three previous encounters, one of them last week during the Brasília stage, which opened the international season.
