Brazilian Mayra Aguiar wins the Judo World Championship for the second time.

Brazilian judoka Mayra made history in Brazilian sport by becoming the first woman to win two world championships in any individual Olympic event. Mayra defeated Japan's Mami Umeki, winner in Astana-2015, this Friday in Budapest, in the final to win her second career title in the under-78kg category.

247 - Brazilian Mayra Aguiar made history in Brazilian sports this Friday, the 1st, in Budapest by becoming the first woman to win two world championships in any individual Olympic sport.

The judoka from Rio Grande do Sul repeated her performance from Chelyabinsk-2014 and defeated Japan's Mami Umeki, winner in Astana-2015, in the final to win her second career title in the under 78kg category.

Mayra already has three other medals from World Championships - one silver and two bronzes.
