From CBF - Continuing the 11th round of the Brazilian Championship, Botafogo beat Internacional 3-2 at Beira-Rio and prevented Colorado from returning to the top of the competition. Four other games were played on Sunday afternoon (26). At Pacaembu, Santos beat São Paulo and entered the G-4. In the Rio de Janeiro derby Fla-Flu, at Arena das Dunas, Tricolor won and took the Rubro-Negros out of the top of the table. At home, Atlético-PR defeated Grêmio and moved up the table. And, at Barradão, Vitória and Ponte Preta drew.
At Beira-Rio stadium, Botafogo prevented Internacional from regaining the Série A lead by winning 3-2. In the seventh minute, Luis Ricardo crossed for Fernandes, who shot across goal and opened the scoring for Botafogo. After a counter-attack, Neilton received the ball from Camilo and shot past goalkeeper Jacsson: 2-0. In the second half, Inter pulled one back through Eduardo Sasha in the 25th minute. A minute later, Camilo exchanged passes with Fernandes and scored Botafogo's third. Looking to reverse the situation, Internacional scored their second in the 28th minute through Ernando, who rose highest after a corner kick from Alex. With the defeat, Inter missed the chance to retake the lead and remains in second place with 20 points. Botafogo, with 12 points, climbed to 17th position in the table.
In the classic São Paulo derby between Santos and São Paulo at Pacaembu stadium, Santos emerged victorious with a 3-0 score. In Santos' first attack, just 41 seconds into the game, Denis parried a shot from Thiago Maia, and Vitor Bueno capitalized to open the scoring. In the 38th minute of the first half, Rodrigão extended the lead. Late in the game, Lucas Lima scored the third goal for Santos from a free kick, putting them in third place in Série A with 19 points. São Paulo, with 15 points, dropped to tenth position.
At Arena das Dunas, Flamengo lost the derby against Fluminense 2-1. Early in the second half, Gustavo Scarpa took a corner kick, and Willian Arão ended up scoring an own goal while trying to clear. Flamengo equalized in the 12th minute with a header from Guerrero. In the 30th minute, Richarlison capitalized on a Flamengo defensive error to give Fluminense the victory, lifting them to ninth place in Série A with 16 points. Flamengo, with 17 points, dropped out of the top four and now occupies sixth place.
With goals from Hernani and André Lima, Atlético-PR defeated Grêmio 2-0 at Arena da Baixada. With 17 points, Furacão climbed to seventh place, while Tricolor Gaúcho, with 18, dropped out of the top four and now occupies fifth place.
At Barradão stadium, Ponte Preta took the lead with a goal from William Pottker, and Kieza equalized for Vitória: 1-1. With 14 points, Ponte Preta occupies 13th place, while Vitória, with 13, is in 15th position.
