Firefighters rescue fourth victim of explosion.
A 19-year-old woman was taken to the emergency room at Hospital das Clínicas; her house was partially destroyed by an explosion caused by a gas leak in Vila Brasilândia, in the northern part of São Paulo; initially, firefighters reported three victims, but four people were buried (two adults, a child, and a baby).

São Paulo – The Fire Department rescued, around 13 pm this Monday, the 19th, the fourth victim of an explosion caused by a gas leak on Rua Tabatinga, Vila Brasilândia, in the northern zone of the city of São Paulo. The young woman, 19 years old, was taken to the Emergency Room of the Hospital das Clínicas.
The accident partially destroyed a house this morning (19). Initially, firefighters reported that there were three victims, but four people were buried (two adults, a child and a baby).
A 10-year-old child was quickly rescued by firefighters and taken to the Vila Nova Cachoeirinha Emergency Room. The baby, 1 year and 9 months old, was taken to the Pirituba Emergency Room. A 43-year-old man with third-degree burns was taken to the Hospital das Clínicas.
A team from the Municipal Civil Defense Coordination is on site and has cordoned off 15 houses near the location of the explosion.
