Firefighters reinforce their staff with 97 new soldiers.

The Military Fire Department of the State of Tocantins received 87 men and 10 women on Saturday, the 13th, who were trained through the Soldier Training Course; "An important force to complement the protection of our society. Tocantins 247 - The Military Fire Department of the State of Tocantins received 97 new soldiers this Saturday, the 13th, ready to fight in water, on land, and in the air. These are 87 men and 10 women who were trained through the Soldier Training Course (CFSD/2014) and have the mission of saving lives.

"It is a source of great pride and joy to formalize the graduation of these 97 new firefighters. The mission of a firefighter is to care for people, and now we have 97 more colleagues who come to reinforce the work developed by the corporation. In this way, we will continue to care for the people of Tocantins," highlighted the general commander of the Military Fire Department of the State of Tocantins, Colonel Erli Lemes.

Vice-Governor Tom Lyra (PR) attended the ceremony and highlighted the importance of the Fire Department to society. "An important force to complement the protection of our society. It is a source of great pride and satisfaction to witness this moment. With the hiring of the new firefighters, the people of Tocantins are the winners," he said.

For seven months, candidates for the Fire Department were trained under the most diverse conditions, learning theory and practice about the daily activities of a firefighter. In total, there were 1.315 hours of classes, preparing the 97 new firefighters to work in various areas of operation, such as: Search and Rescue, Firefighting, Civil Defense, and Pre-Hospital Care.

Competition
The recruitment process for firefighter, which began in August of last year, had six stages: written exam; physical fitness test; medical and dental evaluation; psychological evaluation; background check; and Firefighter Training Course. The initial salary stipulated in the announcement for those who pass and take office is R$ 3.228,28.
