Bittencourt: "Waldir's radicalism leads nowhere"
The controversial style of federal deputy Delegado Waldir (PR) will not help solve Goiânia's problems; this is the opinion of engineer and pre-candidate for mayor Luiz Bittencourt (PTB); "The delegate's discourse is populist," says Bittencourt; "Waldir has a radical style that is not suitable for a public manager, from whom the capacity for dialogue is expected. His radicalism leads to nothing"; the engineer says he has not yet seen the Delegate present proposals for Goiânia; "I only see him shouting and pointing the finger at others. Is the best way to go to turn the city into a police station?"
Goiás 247 - The controversial style of federal deputy Delegado Waldir (PR) will not help solve Goiânia's problems. This is the opinion of engineer and pre-candidate for mayor Luiz Bittencourt (PTB). "The deputy's discourse is populist," says Bittencourt. "Waldir has a radical style that is unsuitable for a public administrator, from whom the capacity for dialogue is expected. His radicalism leads nowhere."
The engineer says he hasn't yet seen the Delegate present any proposals for Goiânia. "I only see him shouting and pointing the finger at others. Is the best way forward to turn the city into a police station?" ponders the PTB pre-candidate. Bittencourt classifies his opponent's discourse as "populist" and "demagogic."
In June, during the first debate between mayoral candidates, organized by Sucesso FM radio, Bittencourt and Waldir provided the best moments and polarized the confrontation. Pressed by the engineer, Waldir said that his government plan was still under construction and that he would present his proposals at the right time.
Bittencourt, who has been betting on bold proposals to advance in the election, also casts doubt on Waldir's political behavior, since he has begun seeking the support of former governor Iris Rezende (PMDB) after spending the last few months criticizing him.
