Bahia has a thousand defective ballot boxes three days before the election.

The equipment will be used in at least 10 municipalities in the state; the coordinator of Support and Computerized Voting at the Regional Electoral Court (TRE), André Cavalcante, states that the problem with the nearly one thousand ballot boxes among the 7.904 machines of the 2008 model lies in the motherboard battery, which causes a "freeze" in the internal clock; the problem, according to him, "is being resolved so as not to compromise the election."
