Bahia: 13 political parties may lose their party funding.

According to the Regional Electoral Court (TRE), only 16 of the 29 political parties represented in the state submitted their 2012 financial statements within the legal deadline; the 13 parties in arrears with the Electoral Court are PSB, PSDB, PRP, PSC, PRB, PSL, PTC, PCB, PSDC, PHS, PRTB, in addition to PPS and PMN, which merged to create the Democratic Mobilization (MB).

Data from the Regional Electoral Court of Bahia (TRE-BA) indicates that only 16 of the 29 political parties represented in Bahia submitted their annual financial statements within the legal deadline, which consists of a declaration of income, expenses and use of the party fund throughout the year 2012. The deadline ended this Tuesday (30).

The 13 parties in debt to the Electoral Court are PSB, PSDB, PRP, PSC, PRB, PSL, PTC, PCB, PSDC, PHS, PRTB, in addition to PPS and PMN, which merged to create the Democratic Mobilization (MB).

According to the Regional Electoral Court (TRE), political parties in irregular situations are subject to the cutting of funds allocated to the party fund. The reports will be analyzed by the respective instances of the Electoral Court, which, in judgment, will stipulate the amount and period of suspension of the transfers.
