The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800 with registration G-JZHJ, had taken off from Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, bound for Nottingham, England, but had its route diverted to Santiago de Compostela Airport, in northern Spain, reports the newspaper. The passenger, a man of approximately 70 years old, began to feel unwell during the flight. Faced with the medical emergency, the crew decided to change course and seek immediate medical attention.
