Ceará247 - The problem of security for the operation of bank branches in the interior of the state, particularly Banco do Brasil, which is constantly targeted by robberies, will be debated this afternoon at the Legislative Assembly, in the Consumer Protection Committee (CDC). According to Deputy Odilon Aguiar, author of the request for the public hearing to discuss the matter, the temporary closure of branches that are vandalized in robberies causes enormous losses to the population and businesses in the municipalities. Banco do Brasil is the main bank in the interior of Ceará, as it is present in almost all municipalities.
The legislator acknowledges the State Government's efforts to improve the security infrastructure, but warns that an urgent solution to the problem is needed, "otherwise we will continue to put human lives, businesses, and jobs in the interior of the State at risk."
