Tocantins 247 - During visits to the markets in the capital this Sunday, the 14th, the gubernatorial candidate from the "Reage Tocantins" coalition, Senator Ataídes Oliveira (PROS), emphasized that he will strengthen family farming in the state. Accompanied by the vice-gubernatorial candidate Cinthia Ribeiro, Ataídes spoke with vendors and visitors at the markets in block 307 North and Aureny I, in Palmas.

"These fairs demonstrate the capability of our family farmers, who, even with so many difficulties, continue to produce and market food. Therefore, we need to strengthen this sector," declared Ataídes Oliveira. He stated that his administration will create tax incentives and specific funding programs for these producers.

In conversation with market vendors, Ataídes recalled that he himself was raised through subsistence farming. "I come from family farming and I know the great difficulties these people face," said the candidate. According to him, his government will have a constant dialogue with family farmers. "We will be hand in hand with them all the time," he added.

For Izório Ferreira, a family farmer and market vendor, more attention needs to be paid to small farmers. "We don't have the resources, like the big farmers, to fix the [rural] roads, and the government needs to give us that attention," Izório emphasized.

Ataídes Oliveira concluded his campaign schedule for this Sunday with a visit to the Bosque Fair.
