Tocantins 247 - The gubernatorial candidate Ataídes Oliveira (Pros), from the "Reage Tocantins" coalition, held a walk through the streets of Palmas this Tuesday, the 16th. Accompanied by the vice-gubernatorial candidate, Cinthia Ribeiro (PTN), the senatorial candidate, state deputy Sargento Aragão (PROS), and candidates for state and federal deputy, activists and supporters, Ataídes walked along JK Avenue and through the Jardim Taquari neighborhood, in the southern region.

"Today we had a great show of support for our campaign, coming from the people of our capital. This is the feeling of true change that we see in the streets. This is the real poll," highlighted the candidate from the "Reage Tocantins" coalition.

For street vendor Joaquim Silva, Ataídes is the only alternative for change. "There are candidates who say they will bring about change, but when they governed the state they didn't make any changes," said Joaquim, adding, "We need someone new, and that someone is Ataídes."

Rafaela Nunes, a resident of the Taquari neighborhood, pointed out that securing housing is a major challenge for the population of the capital city. "Since I arrived in Palmas, I've been trying to get my own home, and to this day I've only heard promises," stated Rafaela, who lives with her children in a makeshift tent on a plot of land that is not legally registered.

After hearing the resident's complaint, Ataídes stated that one of his government's priority commitments is to guarantee housing for the population of Tocantins. "The regularization of land plots and the construction of houses for the less fortunate is an obligation of the government, and you can be sure that we will fulfill it," the candidate assured.
