Goiás247_ Dismissed on Friday night (20) accused of being the lobbyist for a gang specialized in paying bribes to mayors to direct investments from municipal pension funds, the advisor to the Ministry of Institutional Relations, Idaílson Vilas Boas Macedo, worked directly with the Deputy Chief of Federal Affairs of the Presidency of the Republic, Olavo Noleto, currently the Goiás native who holds the highest position in the federal government. Idailson's alleged involvement in favor of the gang, dismantled by the Federal Police in Operation Miqueias, triggered a crisis in the Planalto Palace, leading the case to the front page of the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo.
According to Estadão, citing sources from the Presidency of the Republic, Olavo would have recommended the advisor for the position. When contacted, he did not comment. Also according to the newspaper, before being appointed to the Secretariat of Institutional Relations, Idaílson would have worked in the Chamber of Deputies. He would have arrived at the Planalto Palace in 2011, with a Senior Management and Advisory (DAS) 4 position, appointed by Minister Ideli Salvatti, head of the ministry. In 2012, he was promoted to DAS-5, by order of Minister Gleisi Hoffmann.
The Federal Police requested Idailson's arrest, the freezing of his bank accounts, and searches of his residence. The court denied the arrest request.
The Estadão newspaper reports that on Friday afternoon, Idaílson allegedly called Olavo at the Presidential Palace, informing him that the Federal Police had implicated him in the scheme, but that he was not involved. He even reportedly offered his resignation. However, the newspaper claims that he was only dismissed after his involvement was revealed by estadão.com.br.
The São Paulo newspaper even unearths facts related to Operation Monte Carlo, which revealed Carlinhos Cachoeira's illegal gambling and corruption scheme. Estadão recalls that Olavo appeared in the Federal Police investigation for having made telephone contact with the former president of the Goiânia City Council, Wladimir Garcez, one of the racketeer's main allies. At the time, Olavo vehemently denied any connection to the scheme: "I have never spoken to, met, or been introduced to Carlinhos Cachoeira."

Minister Ideli Salvatti dismissed Idaílson after news that he was part of a money laundering scheme uncovered by the Federal Police (PF) through Operation Miqueias.
