Former infrastructure secretary of the Vilela (PSDB) government, Fernando Nunes, is one of the partners of the construction company Sanco Engenharia, responsible for building houses for the victims of the 2010 floods. With the rains of last Wednesday, the complex built in União dos Palmares was flooded. Fernando Nunes still works in the government of Alagoas, holding the position of special advisor in the Infrastructure Secretariat. The denunciation was published by blogger Davi Soares. In a note, the State Secretariat of Infrastructure (Seinfra) announced, this Friday (5), that Fernando Nunes left the partnership of Sanco Engenharia LTDA in October 2007.

Alagoas247 The blog Sonar Alagoas, from the reporter of Gazeta Davi Soares, published exclusively this Friday (5) the information that the former Secretary of Infrastructure and current special advisor to the government, Fernando Nunes, has links with the company responsible for the construction of the Newton Pereira Complex, in União dos Palmares, which was flooded due to the rains last Wednesday.

The journalist obtained a document provided by the Construction Industry Union of Alagoas (Sinduscon) and an audio recording of employees from the construction company Sanco Engenharia proving that Fernando Nunes has ties to the company. The Gazetaweb portal accessed the material and confirmed the veracity of the information before publishing it.

Nunes held the position of Secretary of State for Infrastructure in 2010, when Marcon Fireman left the post to join the campaign team of Governor Teotonio Vilela Filho (PSDB). The businessman and former secretary is considered one of Fireman's right-hand men and an influential figure in the PSDB government.

It was in 2010 that the state government began coordinating the Reconstruction Program for the flood victims. 

Nunes held the position of Deputy Secretary of Infrastructure until July of last year, with a gross salary of R$ 8.094. The businessman left the position to take up the post of Special Advisor – ASE-2, with a salary of R$ 3.383,82.

Gazetaweb's reporters contacted Sanco Engenharia on Friday morning, but were informed by a secretary that the partner would only be at the company in the afternoon.

The Infrastructure Secretariat explained, through its communications office, that it will release information on the matter later this Friday.

INUNDATION

The houses delivered by the state government to victims of the 2010 floods were flooded due to the rains that fell in Alagoas this week. Problems were reported in União dos Palmares, Murici, and Rio Largo.

It was also reported that the government was aware of the flood risks and even sent an official letter responding to the warning from the City Council of União dos Palmares. The Rio Largo city hall reported that it also informed the government of the situation. In a statement, the Infrastructure Department informed that, at the time, the works were not completed and that improvements were made to solve the problem.
