"People are already noticing the presence of public authorities."

Mayor ACM Neto (DEM) celebrates the positive preliminary assessment of the first edition of the world's largest popular festival under his administration, but acknowledges that much remains to be done; "We face the challenge of traffic and transportation to reduce congestion. We also want to improve the Campo Grande circuit, which will undergo a major transformation in terms of its geography and circuit design."

Mayor ACM Neto (DEM) gave a preliminary assessment of Carnival (the first four days) this Sunday and considered the first celebration under his administration to be positive, especially considering he took office just over a month ago.

"We managed to promote the integration of the municipal administration bodies. People now perceive the presence of public power. We are fulfilling a series of observations, especially since we began planning for the 2014 carnival starting on Ash Wednesday," said the Democrat in a press conference.

Despite considering it a good debut, the mayor highlighted one of the challenges to be overcome for next year's festival, such as the organization of traffic and transportation and the need to revitalize the traditional Osmar circuit (Campo Grande), which has been the target of criticism from revelers and even artists.

"It's always a challenge because I took on the role already having to provide answers for a large event of the magnitude of Carnival, but thank God everything is going very well with the work of our team. Many things need improvement. We have the challenge of traffic and transportation to reduce the amount of congestion, a situation that generates discomfort. We also want to improve the Campo Grande circuit, which will undergo a major transformation in terms of its geography and circuit design. There will be a series of new features for next year."
