Armando says he will maintain the outsourcing of hospitals.
During his participation in a meeting of the "Pernambuco Vai Mais Longe" coalition on health-related issues this Friday, the 8th, the PTB gubernatorial candidate, Armando Monteiro, said that he would maintain the use of Social Organizations (OS) in the administration of health units if elected; however, the PTB member said that he would make adjustments regarding the oversight of the goals that the OSs need to achieve; "It is necessary for the State to have structures to oversee, monitor, and track the goals. These OSs are used to achieve the objectives," said Armando Monteiro, citing the state of São Paulo as an example.
Pernambuco 247 - Senator Armando Monteiro, the PTB candidate for governor, stated this Friday, the 8th, that he will maintain the Social Organizations (OS) in the administration of health units if elected.
During his participation in the second thematic plenary session of the "Pernambuco Vai Mais Longe" coalition, which addressed health-related issues, the PTB candidate said, however, that he would make adjustments regarding the oversight of the goals that the Social Organizations (OSs) need to achieve. "But it is necessary for the State to have structures to oversee, monitor, and track the goals. These OSs are used to achieve the objectives," said Armando Monteiro, citing the state of São Paulo as an example.
A second point raised by Armando regarding the OSs (Social Organizations) is the better distribution of companies that manage the units. "Another thing is to have a position of not being overly concentrated, not being too heavily dependent on a single institution or institutions linked to a system," he added.
The plenary session also addressed issues such as the Mais Médicos program, the high rate of traffic accidents that strain the healthcare system, and the need to create a program for heart disease.
