This Thursday, the 30th, Mayor João Alves Filho, who was in contact with hotel industry businessmen in Portugal, arrives in Manfredonia, assuming the honorary presidency of the Brazilian delegation. João Alves will meet with the local mayor, Angelo Riccardi, to showcase the potential of Aracaju.
On that occasion, the Secretary of Communication, Carlos Batalha, will give a video presentation, showing in three languages (Portuguese, English and Italian) what Aracaju has to offer to host the event, which could bring hundreds of people to the capital of Sergipe.
Also participating in the delegation are the municipal secretaries Carlos Eloy (Youth and Sports) and Walker Carvalho (Industry, Commerce and Tourism), and councilman Manuel Marcos.
Performance
In the competitions, the city is also being well represented. The duo Duda and Carol, who are scholarship recipients from the Aracaju City Hall through the Athlete Scholarship program, have ample opportunities to win medals. So far, the athletes have won all their games: 2-0 against France; 2-0 against Germany; 2-0 against Italy. The games will continue this Thursday, and the finals will be played next Saturday.
