The case of YouTuber Júlio Cocielo, who on June 30th tweeted that "Mbappé [a player on the French national team in the World Cup] could pull off some top-notch robberies on the beach, huh," went viral as a case of racism and prejudice on social media. Twitter users unearthed old tweets by Cocielo with even more racist statements. Brands like Coca-Cola, Submarino, and others severed commercial ties with the influencer to avoid being associated with such controversial statements.

4. DePretas by Gabi Oliveira

Gabi Oliveira is from Rio de Janeiro, has a degree in Public Relations, and has carved out her space and gained prominence on the internet by speaking about representation, prejudice, and acceptance.
