Only 2 of the 18 people shot by the Military Police in Cabula had a criminal record.

Bahia 247 - Of the 18 young people shot by the Military Police (PM) in an operation by Rondesp (Special Rounds) in Cabula on the 6th, only two had a criminal record, according to information from the Civil Police press office, which also revealed that the number of victims of the action has risen to 18.

According to the newspaper Massa, the death toll remains at 12, but the Civil Police discovered that Luis Alberto de Jesus Filho, 28, and Diego Santos Silva sought treatment at the Subúrbio and São Rafael Hospitals, respectively. While Luis remains hospitalized and has already had his arrest ordered by the court, Diego was discharged from the hospital before the police learned that he had been shot in the alleged confrontation with the military police.

Luis Alberto was previously arrested for drug trafficking and possession in 2009, 2010, and 2014. Evson Pereira dos Santos, 26, was previously arrested for fighting during Carnival in 2010 and 2011.

The Civil Police state that detectives from the Homicide and Personal Protection Department (DHPP) are interviewing survivors, relatives, and residents of the area. The Public Prosecutor's Office is also monitoring the investigations with four prosecutors.
