André registers candidacy with support from PT and Rede.
The only opposition candidate to the Michel Temer (PMDB) government, André Figueiredo (PDT-CE), registered his candidacy for the presidency of the Chamber of Deputies this Wednesday (1) and received the support of REDE for the dispute. “For us, it has a very strong symbolism. The leader of the newly created party, Alessandro Molon (REDE-RJ), stated that the party will support "whoever has a real chance of reaching the second round and has always maintained a consistent stance in favor of the Brazilian people. Molon; Aliel Machado (REDE-PR); the leader of the PT, Carlos Zarattini (PT-SP); Patrus Ananias (PT-MG); the leader of the PDT, Weverton Rocha (PDT-MA); and fellow members of parliament Leônidas Cristino (PDT-CE) and Afonso Motta (PDT-RS) accompanied the registration of André's candidacy, demonstrating the unity that was desired by the party activists, who have been expressing themselves in this way in the streets and on social media.
