André: opposition will give JB government a 100-day truce.

"We're not going to sit idly by and stay indoors just because we lost the election. We're going to continue pointing out the mistakes, but this is a new moment, and traditionally, at the beginning of each government, the opposition gives a truce. Although he is a re-elected governor, he is starting a new term with a different team, so he has these first hundred days to get things in order. And we hope he adjusts the administration in the best way possible. But whatever mistakes he makes, we will show them, but it will be a constructive opposition, without being hateful or resentful," stated federal deputy André Moura, of the PSC party.

Valter Lima, from Sergipe 247 - The opposition promises to give Governor Jackson Barreto (PMDB) a truce during the first hundred days of his new administration. This information comes from federal deputy André Moura (PSC). He emphasizes, however, that members of his group will remain attentive to the government's actions, "pointing out errors, but without engaging in bitter opposition."

“We are not going to sit idly by and stay indoors just because we lost the election. We will continue to point out the mistakes, but this is a new moment, and traditionally, at the beginning of each government, the opposition gives a truce. Although he is a re-elected governor, he is starting a new term with a different team, so he has these first hundred days to get things in order. And we hope that he will adjust the administration in the best way possible. But whatever mistakes he makes, we will point them out, but it will be a constructive opposition, without being hateful or resentful,” he stated.

André points out that the 2014 electoral process is "water under the bridge." "We respect the ballot box. It's not the time to bring the election into the debate. It's time to build the future. And that is built with the government doing its job and the opposition doing its job," he said. The parliamentarian notes that 43% of the population, who voted for Eduardo Amorim (PSC) for governor, understood the opposition's message. "Therefore, we cannot give up on Sergipe. We have to understand the people's message and continue in the opposition. Of course, I didn't want to be in the opposition anymore, I wanted to be alongside Eduardo Amorim to build a new Sergipe, but we cannot stop being in the opposition just because we lost the election," he justified.

"Coherence"

Asked if the opposition group remains cohesive, even in the face of information that some parliamentarians have already pledged to support the government in votes in the Legislative Assembly, André Moura replied that his bloc remains cohesive, following the guidelines advocated by the majority, but demanded consistency from the members of the opposition bloc.

“I hope that the deputies can act with consistency. Each one has sufficient independence; no one owns the mandate of another, but each one has to account for their mandate to those who elected them. I hope they all have this responsibility. They were elected defending these projects. They opposed the government, they went into the campaign in opposition, but, from one moment to the next, the government becomes the best of all and they become allies? This needs to be explained, if it happens, because they must be accountable to society. I don't know if we will have losses, but let's wait and see. It is the voter who should demand a position from each one,” he argued.

2016

When discussing the 2016 election, the main one in Aracaju, André says that his group has no agreement to support Mayor João Alves Filho (DEM), but emphasizes that there are no impediments to building a new alliance. However, the congressman says that, within his group, there is a "feeling in favor of launching their own candidacy."

“We can certainly support the mayor, although we haven't made any firm commitments in that regard, but there's a strong feeling that we should launch our own candidacy. 2016 is a new story. We've turned the page on 2012 and 2014. We know that a group with a solid political project cannot fail to launch a candidacy in the capital,” he stated. When asked about possible names, he preferred not to anticipate. “We have many qualified candidates,” he emphasized.
