Goiás247_ With the presence of the Governor of Goiás, Marconi Perillo, Ambev/Cebrasa inaugurated the expansion of its industrial unit in Anápolis, located approximately 65 kilometers from Goiânia, on the BR-060 highway. The total investment amounts to R$ 351 million. Around 800 new direct jobs will be created. The ceremony was coordinated by the presidents of Ambev, João Castro Neves, and the company's Administrative Council, Victório de Marchi.

With the new unit, Cebrasa (Cervejaria Brasília S/A) gained a new production and bottling line, with a potential of 120 cans per hour. The total production capacity of beers and soft drinks jumped from 6 million to 8 million hectoliters per year.

Perillo said that the direct consequence of the opening of an industrial project is the creation of new jobs. "We provided incentives, we encouraged the entrepreneur to invest more, he responded to our request, and now we have the jobs that have been generated."

According to the governor's calculations, for every job created, an additional 46 indirect jobs are generated in this production chain. "This means that this factory generates, directly and indirectly, 35 jobs here in Goiás and in Brazil."

The politician recalled that the economic development policy implemented during his administrations resulted in Brazil's highest GDP growth last year, the second highest industrial growth, the highest growth in the trade balance and exports, and the second-best ranking in job creation.

The ceremony – which was non-partisan – was also attended by the mayor of Anápolis, Antônio Gomide (PT); the state Secretary of Industry and Commerce, Alexandre Baldy; as well as federal deputies Jovair Arantes (PTB); Valdivino de Oliveira (PSDB) and Pedro Chaves (PMDB).
