Bahia 247 - The president of the 'United for Bahia' coalition, federal deputy candidate José Carlos Aleluia, celebrated the unprecedented right of reply granted by the Electoral Court to the DEM candidate for governor, Paulo Souto, on the Facebook profile of his PT opponent, Rui Costa.

"Justice may be slow, but it doesn't fail. The truth has been restored with the publication of Paulo Souto's right of reply, refuting what his Workers' Party opponent posted about Pelourinho on Facebook."

According to Aleluia, "the PT candidate needs to understand that social media was not created for spreading slander and insults." "Someone who aspires to be governor cannot be so irresponsible as to accuse someone of something they didn't do and then gratuitously insult them."

The Democratic leader recalls that Paulo Souto was accused of an event that occurred when he was not governor. "It was his ally, (Jaques) Wagner's vice-governor, Otto Alencar, who was governor at the time, who took the action for which Paulo Souto was unjustly accused. The Justice system fulfilled its role, ordering the publication of the right of reply. Take note, PT."

Otto Alencar is currently the vice-governor to Jaques Wagner and a candidate for senator for the PSD party.
