SP247 – The governor of São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin, praised on Thursday the 10th the bus lanes inaugurated by Mayor Fernando Haddad in the capital of São Paulo. According to the governor, the City Hall is "doing very well" in investing in exclusive bus lanes. He said the lanes "are spectacular".

Alckmin participated today in the Urban Mobility event, organized by Folha de S.Paulo. In his speech, he defended the installation of more subway lines in the city, as the current ones are "insufficient." The goal, he said, is to reach 200 km of line – currently there are 74,3 km. "It's not enough line, it needs to be extended quickly," he declared.

According to the governor of São Paulo, global society is urban, with large urban conglomerates, just like the city of São Paulo. Alckmin recalled that "rail transport carries 80 passengers per hour," while advocating for the construction of more subway and train lines.
