SP 247 - The governor of São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin, confides within the PSDB party and says he no longer believes in the continued membership of João Doria, the mayor of São Paulo, according to journalists Naomi Matsui and Tales Faria from the website [website name missing]. Power360.

Alckmin told at least two high-ranking members of the PSDB party that he will not give up on the presidential nomination. The governor believes that Doria will not accept being passed over and will leave the party, according to the report.

The governor still believes he has the loyal support of the main São Paulo PSDB members and does not intend to antagonize his former protégé. He wants to offer him the nomination to run for the Palácio dos Bandeirantes (São Paulo state government headquarters) so that Doria does not leave the PSDB. But the current governor admits that he has little hope that the mayor will remain in the PSDB.
