Alan: patching potholes doesn't solve problems with the asphalt.
The deputy laments the "precarious" situation of the road network on São Cristóvão and Aliomar Baleeiro avenues and states that even businesses in São Cristóvão are suffering from potholes and flooding, especially on Aliomar Baleeiro Avenue; "A complete milling is necessary, not just patching potholes. I am sure that the mayor is aware of this real need in São Cristóvão, a long-standing demand from residents."

State Representative Alan Sanches (PSD) is demanding that the city government resurface the São Cristóvão and Aliomar Baleeiro avenues. According to him, "considering the poor condition of the roads and the heavy traffic in the entire region," which provides access to the Cia Aeroporto highway and the municipality of Lauro de Freitas, "it is clear that the pothole repair operation will not solve the problem."
The legislator states that more effective action is needed to guarantee effective traffic conditions for local residents, who still suffer from constant traffic jams due to the problem.
The congressman points out that even businesses in São Cristóvão are suffering from the numerous potholes and flooding, especially on Avenida Aliomar Baleeiro. "A complete overhaul is needed, not just patching the holes. I'm sure the mayor is aware of this real need in São Cristóvão, a long-standing demand from residents."
The Superintendency of Conservation and Public Works of the City Hall (Sucop) is carrying out an emergency action on the roads of the São Cristóvão neighborhood, through Operation Pothole Repair. However, Alan Sanches emphasizes that other similar interventions have already been made and have solved nothing. "It only takes a little rain for the problem to return. That's why we're appealing for asphalt resurfacing."
