A professor with a doctorate from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo will give a lecture on Tuesday (1st) entitled “The Relationship Between Art and Architecture” as part of the program for the exhibition The Artist Architect, which runs at the Oscar Niemeyer Cultural Center until October 10th, with free admission.
Goiás247_ The Oscar Niemeyer Cultural Center (CCON) in Goiânia will host architect Agnaldo Farias next Tuesday, October 1st. The professor and doctor from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (USP) will give a lecture entitled "The Relationship Between Art and Architecture," as part of the "The Artist Architect" exhibition, which runs at the Oscar Niemeyer Center until October 10th, with free admission.
Open to the public, the lecture will take place at 19 pm in the Lygia Rassi Hall of the Cultural Center. Agnaldo Farias is a curatorial consultant at the Tomie Ohtake Institute; former chief curator of the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro and co-curator of the São Paulo Biennials (1992, 1996 and 2010).
The exhibition "The Artist Architect" brings together works by architects in the areas of painting, sculpture, photography, and audiovisual media. All exhibitors are from Goiás, some based in other cities such as Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and London. In this first edition, the exhibition pays homage to Amaury Menezes, one of the founders and first director of the Faculty of Architecture at UCG, now PUC-GO.
