Goiás247_ Governor Marconi Perillo participated, on the morning of this Wednesday (29), in the launch of the II Goiano Congress of Municipalities, coordinated by the Goiana Association of Municipalities (AGM), in partnership with the state and federal governments, the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB-Goiás section), the Brazilian Service for Support to Micro and Small Enterprises (Sebrae), the Federation of Industries of the State of Goiás (Fieg), among others. Mayors and councilors from all over the State were invited to participate in the event, which will take place from March 18 to 20, at the Goiânia Convention Center. The ceremony took place at the Palácio das Esmeraldas.

According to the president of AGM, the mayor of Bom Jardim de Goiás, Cleudes Bernardes, known as Baré, the objective is to promote the exchange of experiences on municipal administration, debate issues that concern municipalities, and present interventions to solve them. One of the topics will be the call for municipalities to join the fight for the expansion of the Municipal Participation Fund (FPM). The mayors hope that, this year, the percentage will increase from 23,5% to 25,5%. The revision of the Federal Pact will also be one of the main topics discussed.

Marconi stated that the government wants to reaffirm its commitment to the municipalities, guaranteeing active participation in the event, providing secretaries for lectures and clarification of doubts, and assisting with logistics. He said that from now on, with the planning the government has done in recent months, it will be possible to reinstate contracts and agreements, which should be signed by July. "We already know the real needs of each municipality, and all the municipalities that need help from the government will receive it," he stated.

He emphasized that the government decided to conduct a diagnostic assessment of municipalities facing deficiencies and shortages of materials and equipment in their hospital units and produced a report. With this list, he authorized the Secretary of Health, Halim Girade, to make acquisitions and donate diagnostic equipment and materials to the municipalities. "This is the best way to guarantee the quality of services and reduce the demand on Goiânia's health units. By the end of June, we will have completed all the transfers of equipment and materials," he stated.
