Agamenon calls Lucimara "shameless"; she accuses him of breach of decorum.
"She's shameless, she needs some tough love, because she used her party's political airtime to say that Mayor João Alves is against the people because he increased the bus fare. The blame for the fare increase lies with her group, which remained in power for 12 years," said the councilman from the PP party; "To discredit me, she came shouting, threatening to bring powder to throw in my face. It's unacceptable that these aggressions continue," responded the councilwoman from the PCdoB party.
Valter Lima, from Sergipe 247 – City councilor Agamenon Sobral (PP), already known for controversial statements and positions, called his fellow councilor, Lucimara Passos (PC do B), a "shameless person" this Wednesday during a session of the Aracaju City Council.
"She's shameless, she needs some nerve, because she used her party's political airtime to say that Mayor João Alves is against the people because he raised the fare. The blame for the fare increase lies with her group, which remained in power for 12 years," he stated.
Councilwoman Lucimara Passos criticized Agamenon's stance and said she will file a complaint against her colleague for breach of decorum. “First, he invoked dictatorship in this House, contradicting the Constitution. He already had to apologize for publishing false information about me. Now, to discredit me, he came shouting, threatening to bring powder to throw in my face. It's unacceptable that these aggressions continue. It's absurdly brutal. We have equal rights. Because of his political position, he cannot attack me,” she said.
The councilman was not intimidated and maintained his position. “I am in parliament. I have the prerogative to speak. If they think they're going to corner me, they won't. She's really shameless,” he stated. Recently, in plenary session, when speaking about problems in education, he said that “if it's about moralizing public schools, let the dictatorship return.”
