An ultralight aircraft crashed in a rural area of Palmas, about 100 meters from a private airstrip on a property near the TO-010 highway; the victim was lawyer José Simone Nastari, 63, who was trapped in the wreckage and burned to death by the flames that consumed the ultralight; according to the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), Nastari was originally registered with the São Paulo Bar Association and had supplementary registration in Tocantins, and had been practicing law since 2000; the institution lamented the accident.
Tocantins 247 - An ultralight aircraft crashed in the rural area of Palmas on Sunday afternoon (20), about 100 meters from a private airstrip on a property near the TO-010. The victim was lawyer José Simone Nastari, 63 years old, who was trapped in the wreckage and burned to death by the flames that consumed the ultralight. The pilot of the aircraft survived and was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) of Palmas.
The Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center is expected to send a team to Palmas this Monday (21) with the aim of inspecting the accident site.
The Brazilian Bar Association in Tocantins (OAB-TO) lamented the death of the lawyer. According to the OAB, José Nastari was originally registered with the São Paulo Bar Association and had supplementary registration in Tocantins, and had been practicing law since 2000. "In this moment of immeasurable grief, the OAB-TO reiterates its condolences to all of José Nastari's family and friends."
