ACM offers 'loan' to the State to plug the hole.
After complaining about Embasa's "incompetence" in restoring the water supply, which was compromised by a burst water main during subway construction on the 1st of this month, the mayor of Salvador, ACM Neto, said this Thursday that he has a report proving that "the hole in Cidade Jardim was created due to a poorly conducted project by Embasa"; "I am even willing to put the city's own companies to work quickly on the project, because we have contracts, provided that the city is reimbursed by Embasa and Conder for the works that are not the municipality's responsibility."
Bahia 247 - The Bahia Water and Sanitation Company (Embasa) continues to threaten the climate of peace and love that prevails between Mayor ACM Neto (DEM) and Governor Rui Costa (PT). After complaining about the agency's "incompetence" in restoring the water supply that was compromised by the rupture of a pipeline in the metro works on the 1st, the Democrat returned to the attack this Thursday (16), this time because of a hole in the main lane of the upscale Cidade Jardim neighborhood.
ACM Neto said he has a technical report proving that "the hole in Cidade Jardim was created due to a poorly managed construction project by Embasa."
According to the Democrat, the Chief of Staff of Salvador, Luiz Carreira, will meet with the state government later today to discuss a solution, which could even include "a loan".
"I am even willing to put the city's companies to work quickly on the project, because we have contracts, provided that the city is reimbursed by Embasa and Conder for the works that are not the municipality's responsibility, which is the already proven case of that hole that was created in Cidade Jardim," said ACM in a publication on the Bahia Notícias website.
The mayor made the statements in a press conference after inaugurating a new road complex on Avenida Paralela, near the shopping mall of the same name, this Thursday.
